High School Diploma or GED required, AND experience in retail business operations, customer service, cashier, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extended working hours, including overnights, weekends, and holidays may be required. The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing customer service and cashiering services to Hail Creek Travel Center customers. Compute totals of transactions using a cash register, received payment by cash or credit/debit cards, and issue receipts, refunds, credits, or changes due to customers. Cash-out at end of shift, accurate accounting of cash drawer, making a deposit to the bank and sending all paperwork to accounting ensuring accuracy of totals and deposits, recording variances. Maintain clean and orderly convenience store, stocked shelves, and check for outdated items. Control point-of-sales inventory by monitoring for shoplifters and fraudulent use of credit cards.
