Job Description

We are looking for a skilled cabinet maker who can oversee the entire process of creating cabinets. This includes selecting materials, building the cabinets, and adding finishing touches. You must make sure that our cabinets meet our style and quality standards at all times.

To be successful as a cabinet maker, you should have good physical stamina and be able to do physical work for long periods of time. You should also be able to come up with ideas to improve our products and processes in order to help our company grow.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Selecting the right materials, tools, and fittings for each project.
• Cutting materials to the right size.
• Planning the best way to complete each project on time.
• Creating standard and customized cabinet parts.
• Putting all the cabinet parts together to make the final product.
• Applying sealant, varnish, or paint to the cabinets, if needed.
• Inspecting each cabinet to make sure it is built correctly and has the necessary finishes.
• Fixing any issues with cabinets that need to be repaired.
• Following safety precautions and wearing the appropriate uniform.
• Giving advice on how to take care of finished cabinets.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Previous experience as a cabinet maker with a portfolio of completed projects.
• The ability to visualize spaces and create suitable furniture for them.
• Good math skills.
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
• Physical fitness, including the ability to move around easily and lift up to 50 pounds.
