Chigozie Obioma was born in Akure, Nigeria and is currently an assistant professor of Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is the author of two novels, The Fishermen (2015) and An Orchestra of Minorities (2019) - both of which were finalists for the Man Booker prize. Other awards include: the winner of the inaugural FT/Oppenheimer Award for fiction, the NAACP Image Award for Debut Literary Work and the LA Times prize for First Fiction. Obioma was selected as one of Foreign Policy's 100 Leading Global Thinkers in 2015. Tickets are $20 general and $16 for SOMOS and Harwood members.
