Last year’s Rally for the Rio Grande del Norte was such a success that we couldn’t wait to do it again. Over 150 people came to celebrate the National Monument and its vast wealth of recreational opportunities. This year is going to be even better.
Public lands are vital to New Mexicans way of life. They provide us with adventure and solace, they support our local communities, they are the foundation of our outdoor recreation economy, and they are critical to supporting healthy wildlife populations.
We are bringing public land owners from across the state to our biggest event of the year. Special guest speaker Dan Flores, talented local musicians, amazing raffles, sponsor booths, special guests, and camping, food and beer are all on tap for this event.
This event isn't just about having a great time. Participants and sponsors will work with agency partners to remove barbed wire fence to improve habitat connectivity for wildlife on the National Monument. Join us and let's demonstrate the power of the public lands community and our commitment to our wildlife resources.
We are honored to have NY Times Best-selling author and Meateater contributor Dan Flores as our featured speaker. Dan Flores is one of America’s most celebrated historians, renowned for his deep explorations of the country’s landscapes and the remarkable figures who shaped them. Dan has 11 books to his name, the most recent being Wild New World, and is the host of Meateaters podcast, American West.
