This summer, the heart of Taos comes alive with music! It’s the McCarthy Plaza Summer Music Series on historic Taos Plaza – 18 weeks of free live music, featuring local favorites, regional artists, singer-songwriters, bands, drumming, dancing, and more.

Sunday, 9/20 at 1pm, welcome Busy McCarroll and Baird Banner to the plaza stage. Busy McCarroll and Baird Banner are a New Mexico duo with a long history in the state's music community. Busy handles lead vocals and guitar. She's an award-winning musician, producer, arranger, and New Mexico Music Commissioner who has sung on more than 100 recordings and taken home over 25 music awards, including Best Recording of the state song "O Fair New Mexico." Baird holds down the drums and brings the ear of a career studio engineer. He owns Kludgit Sound, one of New Mexico's first state-of-the-art recording studios, and has played with Eliza Gilkyson, Peter Rowan, Flaco Jiménez, Gary P. Nunn, and the Motown Revue, among many others. Bring a chair, bring your friends, and enjoy great music, beautiful mountain views, and the community spirit that makes Taos special.
