Writer and publisher Gail Spilsbury will introduce her press’s recent publication of The
Ship of Death: Last Poems by D. H. Lawrence, followed by a 15-minute reading from
her short story, “There Are Places”—the dialogue that led her to discovering
Lawrence’s “Last Poems” from 1933. Local poets will then read poems from The Ship
