Kit Carson Electric Cooperative (KCEC) is pleased to invite you to join us for a major milestone in our clean-energy journey, the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Amalia II Solar & Battery Facility.

This new facility represents a significant step forward for our cooperative and our communities. Amalia II will add 8.75 MW of solar generation and 8.75 MW of battery storage to the KCEC system, expanding our total local solar resources to approximately 51 MW. As KCEC's second-largest solar installation, this project strengthens system reliability and advances our long-term clean-energy goals.

The project is made possible through a partnership with the Rio Costilla Cooperative Livestock Association, Luminace, and Guzman Energy.
