Leslie Ullman is the author of four poetry collections, and most recently, Library Of Small Happiness (3: A Taos Press), a hybrid collection of essays, poems, and writing exercises. Progress on the Subject of Immensity, published in 2013 by University of New Mexico Press, was the winner of the 2014 New Mexico/Arizona Book Award in Poetry. Now Professor Emerita from University of Texas-El Paso, where she founded and directed the Bilingual MFA Program, she currently teaches in the MFA Program at Vermont College of the Fine Arts. Karen Kevorkian is known to many Taos residents from her recent reading of poems with the Route 66 poets at La Hacienda de los Martinez as well as from her residencies at the Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos. She teaches creative writing at UCLA and formerly at the University of Virginia.Her two books are Lizard Dream and White Stucco Black Wing (What Books Press and Red Hen Press). Born in San Antonio, as a fifth generation Texan she comes honestly by her love of the southwestern landscape.
