Join us for the 22nd Annual Ben Myers Ridge-A-Thon at Taos Ski Valley on March 16th & 17th, 2018! What Is It: The Ben Myers Ridge-A-Thon is a ski/board fundraising event in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico, scheduled for March 16 & 17, 2018. Now in its 22nd year, it attracts snow-adventure-seekers of all ages from across the Southwest and beyond. The pledges gathered support the Emergency Medicines Fund at the Taos Community Foundation. The Ridge-A-Thon Story: Ridge-A-Thon was initiated in 1997 to assist with medical expenses for the family of Ben Myers. Ben was a local extreme skier who passed away tragically from cancer at age 26. Ben is still so fondly remembered by his community and each year we take the time to continue the event in order to help others. How It Works: Paired teams collect pledges leading up to the event, then they hike up and hustle down a menu of runs on Highline Ridge & the West Basin in Taos Ski Valley, just to do it all again, as many times as they want to, racking up a point per run toward their total of RUNS. The runs available are determined by TSV patrol according to snow conditions at the time of the competition. The post-event awards celebration is held at Taos Ski Valley on Saturday at 4pm. Prizes from our sponsors will be given to the top teams in two categories: most FUNDS and most RUNS (alternately). Registration will open soon.
