DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, January 15\, 2017\, writers and poets across the United States and in Europe came\ntogether for Writers Resist\, a ?re-inauguration? of our shared commitment to the spirit of\ncompassion\, equality\, free speech\, and the fundamental ideals of democracy. Writers Resist\nevents\, large and small\, were held in dozens of locations throughout the US and the world.\nInspired by long-time SOMOS member\, past president\, and activist/poet Phyllis Hotch\, SOMOS\ncontinues its monthly WRITERS AND POETS RESIST event on the fourth Sunday of each month\nfrom 4-6 pm at the SOMOS Salon. Writers\, poets\, musicians\, songwriters\,are invited to read\nfrom and/or perform their work or the work of others\, bringing the power of the creative\ncommunity to protect and support of our democratic ideals.\nIf you would like to present some creative work\, please contact Bob Silver at\nrsilver65@gmail.com or call SOMOS @ 575-758-0081.
