Hybrid Storytelling in the Multi-Media Age “One’s destination is never a place, but rather a new way of looking at things.”—Henry Miller In the modern spirit of fusion and mash-up, explore a cross-pollination of forms in fiction writing. Engage, play, and experiment with various modalities—narrative, prose-poetry, monologues, ekphrasis, letters, diary entries, drama, screen-writing—as this workshop will emphasize a multi-angled approach to telling a story. Led by local author, poet, performer and playwright, John Biscello. Biscello is the author of the novels, Broken Land, a Brooklyn Tale, Raking the Dust and a collection of stories, Freeze Tag, and the forthcoming novel, Nocturne Variations. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, author, poet, performer, and teacher, John Biscello, has lived in Taos since 2001. He is the founder and director of the Taos Youth Ensemble, a theatrical troupe for young people, and the author of the novels, Broken Land, a Brooklyn Tale, and Raking the Dust, as well as a collection of stories, Freeze Tag.
