Seco Live is honored to announce Low 'N Slow, an immersive fine art experience curated by the prolific voice of New Mexico Artist, Toby Morfin. Please join us in Arroyo Seco from 12-6 on Sunday June 13 for the opening of the Low 'N' Slow Lowrider Art Exhibition punctuated by display of two featured classic Lowrider cars, a local artisan Makers Market, food and drink, and a rocking live performance by Uz! All events take place at the Seco Live Space across the road from Wake + Take.

The Exhibition, and the Music Show are free admission, many of the pieces by an all-New Mexico roster of artists is available for purchase during the event, and throughout the run of the show between 6/13 and 10/10/2021.
Low 'N Slow will offer an immersive outdoor experience for art lovers of all ages providing a multi sensory tour through the world of lowrider arts and culture in Northern New Mexico. This safe and socially distant exhibition takes visitors through every aspect of lowrider culture from a 101 guide to hydraulics and pinstriping and tattoo classes to lowrider movie cult classics and interactive community gathering experiences.
Toby Morfin has put together an unforgettable collection featuring fifteen New Mexico artists of all mediums such as painting and drawing, sculpture and photography that will be on show 24 hours a day at The Seco Live Space from June 13 - October 10 2021. Visitors can expect to be surrounded by every aspect of Lowrider arts & culture, from incredible painted cars on 3 wheels and lowrider bikes, to movie booths and a community photo wall paying homage to the historic photos of those lowriders who have retired from the game!
This exciting outdoor exhibition experience is a complementary showing to The Harwood Museum of Art's Show Santo Lowride: Norteño Car Culture And The Santo Tradition running from May 29, 2021 to October 10, 2021.
Throughout the five month show, curated experiences and student challenges will allow deeper insight into this amazing culture!
The Lowrider Masterclass Series will feature a produced series of film shorts featuring the 101 of New Mexico Lowrider Car Culture on topics such as Pinstriping, Hydraulics and Upholstery Tucking!
The Lowrider Outdoor Dinner Theater will feature a family friendly movie experience under the stars with storytelling, live music, smores and red and green chile roasting.
The LOW N’ SLOW Design Challenge created in collaboration with STEMarts Lab takes students behind the scenes to explore the art, science and technology behind lowrider cars. The STEMarts online platform engages teachers with inspiring New Mexico lowrider artists and Hydraulic Engineers teaching the basics of hydraulics operating systems as well as lowrider car design. Lowriders will visit schools for a live demo. Students imagine and design their own lowrider cars with financial prizes being awarded for several challenge criteria. The challenge awards have been graciously funded by The Taos Revolt Giving Fund.
Every "Second Sunday in Seco" will host live music presented by Roots & Wires, a lowrider vehicle parade with awards for people's choice, a makers market featuring locally made items, design objects and unique finds. The perfect place to spend a Sunday with family in a safe and socially distant setting.
Arroyo Seco Live is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in Arroyo Seco, NM dedicated "Building Community Through Creativity". The Seco Live space is an outdoor exhibition space located at 481 Highway 150 in ArroyoSeco, NM with celebratory gatherings every second Sunday featuring vendors, music, food and art talks.
