NED DOUGHERTY Ned Dougherty has been widely celebrated for his work as an educator and poet. He was named an 'Up and Coming Writer' by SOMOS in 2012 and has earned two teacher of the year honors (2014, NM Charter School Teacher of the Year, 2017 Best of Taos' Teacher of the Year). Two of his original plays have been produced locally. "Escape Plans" debuted at Metta Theatre in 2016, directed by Rita O'Connell, and "The Giant Desk Plays" debuted at the TCA in 2018, directed by Chelsea Reidy. Ned is currently a candidate for his MFA in Playwriting at Augsburg University in Minneapolis. TESS LIGHT Playwright Tess Light lives and works in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Light’s plays tend to incorporate any or all of the following: sarcasm, death, sarcastic death, Buddhism, foodism, poetry, song, and Shakespeare. DS MAGID Playwright, composer, lyricist, director, Broadway veteran, poet, and all-round energetic sort, DS Magid's works comprise long, short, drama, comedy, pop and C&W musicals, romcom, tragedy, SciFi, verse and free-verse, modern, historical, magic realism, rock and chamber operas, and Richard Wagner’s Entire Ring Cycle in Ten Minutes with Sock Puppets, all in the past ten years. Magid is an emeritus Cleveland Public Theatre Artist and alum of the Cleveland Play House Playwrights’ Unit, a WISC Fellow, and a Wurlie.
