Join us for another exciting Poetry Month event at SOMOS! Authors Jon Davis and Chee Brossy will be here to help us celebrate! Jon Davis is the author of four full-length collections of poetry and Dangerous Amusements (Ontario Review Press, 1987), for which he received the Peter I.B. Lavan Prize from the Academy of American Poets. He is also the author of five limited-edition chapbooks and is director of the low residency MFA program at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. Chee Brossy is a poet, fiction writer and journalist. He is Diné of the Water-flows-together clan and grew up in Red Mesa, Arizona in the Navajo Nation. He holds an MFA from the Institute of American Indian Arts and a BA from Dartmouth College. Among other jobs, he has worked as a reporter for the Navajo Times and a teacher of English and creative writing. He is currently at work on a story collection and a book of poems.
